The Ladies Social Stableford on 24 June 2026 proved to be a test of patience before becoming a showcase of perseverance and camaraderie.
Heavy morning rain forced a suspension of play from 6:45am to 8:35am, delaying the start of proceedings at the Tampines Course. Once conditions improved, play resumed at 8:40am, with participants eager to make the most of the day despite the early disruption.
A regular fixture on the Club calendar, the Ladies Social Stableford offers an enjoyable blend of friendly competition and fellowship, bringing together lady golfers of all playing abilities for a rewarding day on the course. The challenging weather did little to dampen spirits, as participants embraced the conditions and completed the competition with enthusiasm and determination.
When the scores were tallied, Florence Chia emerged as the standout performer, carding an excellent 41 Stableford points to claim the title. Penny Yap LH secured runner-up honours with 39 points, while Pua Lay Tin finished third on 38 points. The Best Gross award went to Jasmine Chew, whose impressive round of 86 highlighted the day’s quality golf.
While the weather may have delayed the action, it did not diminish the enjoyment of another successful Ladies Social Stableford, proving once again that a little rain is no match for the resilience and spirit of TMCC’s lady golfers.
